The appearance was to achieve a classic look on the outside with a modern feel inside.The motor is a revy 350 V8 tuned by initial D racing with plenty of power to have some fun.The result is a tight running pro-tourer which has both the killer power you’d expect from a top notch muscle car and the excellent street manners commonly found in a fully-sorted cruiser .The transmission is a Turbo 400 with a ratchet shifter sending power to a Ford 9-inch rear end with 4:11 posi-traction and a 4-link with 1.25-inch chromoly tubing and a pan hard rod. Wilwood Brakes were installed to all four corners with 13-inch slotted and drilled rotors. In the rear sit custom made 20x12-inch Boyd Coddington Crown Jewels three piece wheels with 335/30/20 Michelin Pilot Tires.The interior was trimmed by Riverside Custom & Classic Auto Interiors where it was given a treatment of custom leather, a custom dash-to-deck lid console, and four bucket seats. The headliner was also replaced with a clean one piece version.This 55 is the beneficiary of a high quality, frame-off restoration which created one unique and very impressive cruiser.
